What does Southern Italy has to do with me? Well, simply because I was born there, but I happily reside in UK, a country I love and for which I can't thank enough for the opportunities it has given me.
I was born in a small rural town where the main production was wheat but also olives and grapes. I grew up in a poor but honest family of independent farmers, where both my parents worked their small pieces of lands and where at home we didn't have running water and neither TV until I reached the age of 15. Despite the good education received from my parents (I am not talking about University here, which I have never attended and neither we could have ever afforded) I grew up with one dream:
"To go away from there".
After attending a state owned college and got my diploma, by the age of 23 I had already worked in five different countries and USA.
Due to my desire to be independent and hungry for getting in business, I then jumped into so many sales activities that it would take me a book to describe them all.
When I say I have done it all, I mean ALL!
Well, let's say that I am a self-made entrepreneur who went from knocking on doors of small businesses and private consumers to doing business with international companies worldwide.
A long and stressful business life in which I have experienced success and sufference, including a big theft that left my company breathless and no money from any insurance that forced me at the age of 50+ to look at something else, more in tune with the modern times and less risky than any brick & mortar business.
Anyway, while experiencing the above, thanks to my decent knowledge of computers and internet, I found out something that was attracting my attention more and more, which was called "INTERNET MARKETING". These two words changed my life ever since, and I started it all over again with one option only: to succeed.
I started debt free but also with nearly zero in my bank account.
I took the lucky decision to go into internet marketing full time and at my own risk. I didn't know whether this was going to be another failed dream or illusion of mine but I did believe in myself, in internet, and in the companies I decided to promote as an affiliate.
Thereafter, in less than one year I finally started awaking up again with a smile on my face, a sensation that I had nearly forgotten, knowing that I was finally free from the rat race or even worse, from the danger (at my age...) of going to work for someone and have a boss breathing on my neck, free from buying goods many months ahead to then resell the same at discounted prices if the season didn't turn to be right, free from meeting bank's deadlines, free from paying business rents and so on. My online business venture proved to be right and since then I moved to a level I could never imagine possible for someone who started it being nearly broke.
My current life means that I am free to work the time and hours I want, while my commissions get automatically credited to my bank account, whether its sunny or rainy day. I travel the world for business and pleasure and most of the times I cannot distinguish which is which between the two, because my online business is for me a pleasurable task, a sort of hobby for which I get paid for doing. This is the life I was dreaming of and sometimes I still can't believe it's true, but I have worked hard for it.
That's me, back in 2008...
